Challenge

There was a strong need to verify the information from the reports, clarify the business needs about the reporting systems and improve the data warehouse architecture to reach a smooth and consistent workflow.

To develop and integrate data warehouse, to implement liquidity risk management system for cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Solution

A new design for data warehouse architecture was built, the managerial reporting system got formalized and clarified. ETL processes were released for extracting, transforming and loading the data from a source system to a warehouse.

  • Our business analysts conducted in-depth research of the customers’ business domain. They clarified the initial requirements of the customer and shaped the project goal. According to that, software requirements specification (SRS) was written. It included all the features and functionalities of the product to be developed. That document served a basis for project estimation, prototyping, and legal agreement.

  • Our team used an agile approach to software development, thus, providing a fast and flexible response to the changes. The software development life cycle was divided into the milestones each lasting 4 weeks. So, the customer was able to collaborate effectively with the team and monitor every stage of the development.

  • Our developers built a minimum viable product (MVP) having enough features to capture feedback that will drive the integration of new functionalities through the “build-measure-learn” approach. After extracting the further requirements from customers, the team created a list of specific features for each stage to plan the timely delivery of the product.

  • Our test engineers ensured that the solution worked in the manner in which it was intended. They used all the stages of software testing like unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing. Ultimately, the software was thoroughly tested which resulted in a higher quality of the final product.

We have developed and implemented a process of regular control and analysis of the core banking operations based on Oracle UBS Flexcube in partnership with International Advisory Services Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. We built a data warehouse with 6 integrated systems, reporting systems for credit and deposit portfolios. We run multiple tests and delivered the project on time.
