Role outline
The ideal applicant has 10+ years of SAP experience and 3+ years of relevant experience as an SAP Project Manager. You will need to be a respected leader who works well with others, have enough charisma to influence and guide others in challenging situations, and be exceptionally self-motivated.
You will be responsible for realizing revenues for the company by delivering projects with quality, on time, and within budgets thereby bringing in the best experience for customers and for the organization.
We are looking for an SAP Project Manager and as a key member of the SAP practice, you will study and analyze the business processes defined by the Practice for all workstreams and uplift the business users and IT team competency with SAP Functions/processes.
You will work with some of the most exciting projects and address the needs and pressing problems of leading customers. The purpose of this role is to add significant value to our customers by enabling them to do their business better through digitalization and the power of technology.
Enabling our business processes with new and innovative ways to deliver services and value to our customers will require someone with the ability to translate business requirements into specific systems applications or process design for exceptionally large complex IT solutions.
Professional Responsibilities
- Application management processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Demand & Capacity).
- Resolve critical situations or complex requirements with the help of the team.
- Cost management, receivables, profitability analysis, and reporting.
- Work with tools and technology necessary to manage SAP projects (Ticketing tools, monitoring tools, Demand / Capacity management tools, Monitoring tools and automation, SAP OSS, Project tracking, etc.)
- Manage multiple mid to big-size SAP projects (15+ team members).
- Influence decision-making and drive project delivery.
- Drive initiatives for account growth, and productivity improvement through ticket analytics, automation, lean, etc.
- Team management and Rostering.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the project including team management.
- Status reporting for ongoing incidents & project status.
- Prepare/validate Statement of Work for suppliers.
- Engage with the client on issue resolution and other project challenges.
- Delivery, quality, staffing, and financial performance reporting and analysis.
- Run initiative for continuous improvement and automation.
- Identify new business opportunities, and engage with the client to realize them.
Organization Responsibilities
- To be a brand ambassador to the organization and the SAP Department.
- Mentor, guide, and train mid-level managers.
- Participate in Interviews, Team Induction, and Orientation.
- To actively be involved in contributing to the R&D projects.
- Involvement in high-quality documentation (preparation and review).
- To actively perform assigned projects by monitoring, motivating, and guiding team members.
- Involvement in consulting assignments as assigned by the reporting manager.
- Interface with customers and internal team members to speed up project deliverables.
- Assist in determining customer requirements and suggests solutions. Provide a swift response to signature accounts across customer accounts as assigned within the Middle East, Africa, India, UK.
- Maintain customer relationships and represent the organization professionally.
Skills and experience
- Successful delivery of at least 34 sizable end-to-end SAP projects, and at least 2 programs like SAP core upgrades, S/4 HANA Cloud Migrations, and S/4 HANA Greenfield and rollouts.
- Strong at SAP Implementations including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Hybris, and SAP ERP knowledge.
- Experience in ASAP & Activate Methodology
- Hands-on extensive experience in preparing detailed Project Schedules using standard tools like Microsoft Project Planner (MPP)
- At least one green field implementation experience using S/4 HANA.
- Extensive experience in Budget and Forecast planning, tracking actual Costs
- Experience in managing Global Projects spanning at least 3 countries
- Prior experience in Delivery / Product Management
- Experience in 3rd party vendor management and liaison.
- Extensive experience in handling both Support and implementation projects.
- Experience in planning, Tracking, risk management, and handling the teams
- Experience in managing teams and strong leadership skills.
- Should demonstrate a team-oriented and collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, including strong oral and written communication capabilities.
- A proactive mindset is mandatory.
- Excellent client-facing skills along with prior demonstrated experience in leading teams at various stages.
- Project management skills including the ability to work and plan effectively with minimal direction in ambiguous situations, and manage the implementation of the plan.
- Ability to work with limited directions and be self-driven and work as an individual contributor.
- Readiness for business trips to customers’ premises (UAE) if necessary.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related disciplines
