About the role:

A highly self-sufficient and experienced Project Manager who excels at bringing structure and clarity to complex environments. You will take ownership of project planning, execution, and delivery across various methodologies, while collaborating closely with and receiving strategic guidance from a senior Delivery Manager.

This role is well-suited for professionals who confidently balance the scope–schedule–cost triangle and effectively support software teams in achieving successful outcomes, applying best practices aligned with PMBOK principles.

Your responsibilities will include:

1.Project Initiation & Planning:

    • Create comprehensive project plans (scope definition, WBS, critical path, resource allocation, risk register).
    • Manage the iron triangle (scope, schedule, cost) with proactive trade-off decisions and change control.
    • Develop baseline schedules, budgets, and KPIs aligned with fixed-cost, T&M, or hybrid models.

    2. Create detailed project charters and stakeholder communication plans

    3. Conduct project execution & drive team leadership

    • Guide cross-functional software teams (dev, QA, design, BA) toward clear deliverables and milestones.
    • Implement structure and governance.
    • Daily task assignment, progress tracking, issue escalation.
    • Facilitate ceremonies across SCRUM (sprints, standups, retros), Kanban (WIP limits, flow optimization), and Waterfall (gates, Gantt milestones).
    • Mentor team leads on time management, prioritization, and accountability.

    4. Monitoring & Control

    • Track project health via earned value management (EVM), burndown charts, and velocity metrics.
    • Produce professional project reports (status decks, executive summaries, risk dashboards) for clients and leadership.
    • Manage scope creep, delays, and budget variances with data-driven recovery plans.
    • Conduct quality gates, testing coordination, and UAT handoffs.

    5. Stakeholder management & closure

    • Act as primary client interface, translating technical progress into business value. Negotiate change orders for fixed-cost (deliverable-focused) vs T&M (flexible scope) projects.
    • Drive lessons learned sessions and project closure documentation.
    • Collaborate with the Delivery Manager for escalations, strategy alignment, and career growth.

    6. Seamlessly switch between Agile (SCRUM/Kanban), Waterfall, and hybrid approaches per project needs.

    7. Customize Jira/Confluence workflows, roadmaps, and reporting to match methodology and client preferences.

    Requirements:

    • 3–5 years as a Project Manager in software development
    • Understanding and applying PMBOK/Agile concepts (PMP or CAPM) or equivalent principles in day-to-day activity.
    • Proven experience across SCRUM, Kanban, and Waterfall with tools like Jira, MS Project, and Confluence.
    • Track record managing fixed-cost and T&M projects with clear scope/schedule/cost outcomes.
    • Knowledge of Excel for EVM, budgeting, forecasting; PowerPoint for client reporting.
    • Good English (B2+) for client calls, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
