About the role

The Delivery Director is the most senior leadership position in the Delivery organization. The Delivery Director leads Delivery Managers to ensure premium client experience and develop technical, project, account, and portfolio leadership.

Duties and responsibilities 

  • Own an operating Delivery organization P/L to balance investments in client growth with operating costs while maintaining a best-in-class NPS (Net Promoter Score) and attrition
  • Build and coach a team of Delivery Managers to ensure delivery excellence and Delivery Units growth
  • Build customer relationships with the Executive and Senior levels
  • Works closely with the Sales Department on the pre-sale stage
  • Contribute to clients’ success, including active participation with Delivery Managers at clients’ strategy sessions, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and ADPs (Account Development Plans)

Requirements

  • Understanding how a software development company works and what business models it has
  • MS degree or above (MBA Desirable)
  • 10+ years of proven experience in management
  • 5+ years of leading Delivery or client-facing organizations in software outsourcing or related industries
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Record of using engaging presentation and written communication skills with senior clients
  • Record of developing strategic sales with corporate clients
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and working with international teams  
  • Excellent management of people and their growth
  • Experience in taking extreme ownership of providing guidance and overseeing critical aspects of the project: budget, scope, schedule, and quality
  • A concept of SDLC management and excellent proficiency in the project management industry standards
  • Knowledge of traditional and Agile project management methodologies
  • Advanced understanding of project management techniques and tools, including basic revenue models, profit and loss modeling, project pricing models, project billing procedures, budget estimation techniques, and others
  • Proven background in managing different types of projects (Fixed Price, Time and Material, Outcome-based, SLA)
  • Tracking the IT industry trends
  • Willingness to travel
  • Business-driven personality
  • At least an Upper-Intermediate Strong level of English
  • Insurance, banking, and fintech experience preferred.
