About the role
We are looking for an experienced Sales / Business Development Manager to drive sales of DICEUS software products and solutions.
This is a hands-on product sales role for someone who can independently own the full sales cycle — from building pipeline and qualifying opportunities to discovery, product demonstrations, solution positioning, commercial negotiation, closing, and handoff to Product and Delivery teams.
We are looking for someone with recent, practical experience selling software products — not only outsourcing or development services. You should be comfortable selling both out-of-the-box solutions and products that require configuration, implementation, or customization to fit a client’s business needs.
The right person combines strong commercial skills with genuine product curiosity. You are not expected to act as a Product Owner or Business Analyst, but you should be able to independently understand a complex product, learn a new domain, identify what the client actually needs, and translate that into a commercially viable solution.
Our products evolve quickly, so this role requires ownership, adaptability, and the ability to move opportunities forward even when not every answer is immediately available.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle
- Manage mid-market and enterprise software opportunities end to end — from prospecting and qualification through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Actively build and develop your own pipeline in addition to working with inbound and company-generated opportunities.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand the client’s business challenges, processes, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Identify the underlying business need and position the right solution around value and measurable outcomes rather than development hours or resources.
- Build strong relationships with business, technology, and decision-making stakeholders within insurance companies and other financial institutions.
- Develop commercial proposals, define the appropriate engagement model, and lead commercial negotiations.
- Clearly articulate how DICEUS products differ from alternative solutions and competitors.
Lead product sales and demonstrations - Learn DICEUS products and solutions deeply enough to independently lead client-facing product conversations.
- Prepare and conduct product demonstrations tailored to the client’s specific use cases, challenges, and priorities.
- Focus demonstrations on business value and outcomes rather than simply walking through product features.
- Identify which capabilities are relevant to each opportunity and adapt the product story accordingly.
- Sell both standard product capabilities and solutions that may require configuration, implementation, integration, or customization.
- Clearly manage the distinction between existing product functionality and functionality that would require additional work.
Drive presales and solution definition - Gather and structure client requirements during the sales process.
- Distinguish between the underlying business need, required functionality, and individual feature requests.
- Help clients prioritize requirements and differentiate an MVP from nice-to-have functionality.
- Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, gaps, and potential consequences of requested changes.
- Define an initial solution scope and, where appropriate, work toward preliminary effort and commercial estimates.
- Involve Product, Technical, and Delivery specialists when deeper expertise is required while continuing to own the client conversation and overall opportunity.
- Prepare a structured handoff to Product Owners and Delivery teams, ensuring they understand the client’s objectives, agreed scope, assumptions, priorities, and open questions.
Build product and insurance expertise - Independently build a strong understanding of DICEUS products, their capabilities, limitations, use cases, and value propositions.
- Develop knowledge of the insurance domain and the business processes supported by our solutions.
- Understand the client’s operating model well enough to connect business problems with relevant product capabilities.
- Continuously follow market developments, competing solutions, and client needs to strengthen product positioning.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in B2B software sales, including enterprise and/or mid-market clients, preferably within insurance, financial services, fintech, or another complex domain.
- At least 2 years of recent experience specifically in software product sales.
- Experience selling software products, SaaS platforms, or other technology solutions with measurable commercial results.
- Experience selling an out-of-the-box product as well as solutions requiring configuration, implementation, integration, or customization.
- Clear understanding of the difference between product sales and outsourcing/services sales.
- Proven ability to independently manage the full sales cycle and close complex opportunities.
- Strong prospecting and pipeline-generation skills, with the willingness to actively create new opportunities rather than rely solely on provided leads.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify client needs and sell value rather than resources or hours.
- Experience positioning a product against competitors and clearly communicating its differentiation.
- Hands-on experience personally conducting client product demonstrations and adapting them to different use cases.
- Ability to understand complex products and explain their business value clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience gathering and structuring client requirements as part of a presales process.
- Ability to identify MVP scope, prioritize requirements, and recognize key dependencies and implications.
- Commercial judgment and sufficient product thinking to participate confidently in solution definition, initial scoping, and preliminary estimation.
- Ability to independently learn a complex product and a new business domain.
- Excellent English communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
We offer
- Remote work;
- Equipment for work;
- Paid vacation;
- Paid sick leaves;
- Non-paid days off;
- Professional Growth;
- Allocated L&D Budget;
- Free English lessons.
